Senior Accounts Payable

Our highly successful, multi-site client with a reputation for commercial strength and continuous growth, are currently seeking a seasoned, autonomous Senior Accounts Payable for an immediate-start contract within their fast-paced finance department. Taking full, end-to-end ownership of the purchase ledger function, the successful candidate will manage the entire Accounts Payable cycle. On a daily basis, you will navigate enterprise ERP software to process high volumes of supplier invoices, execute complex statement reconciliations, manage vendor onboarding, and prepare major weekly payment runs. Beyond routine processing, you will actively spearhead the resolution of complex legacy supplier queries, clean up unallocated direct debits, investigate debit balances, and deliver essential ledger aging analysis to assist the Financial Controller with the month-end close.

Skills required:

• Proven dedicated, hands-on experience managing both concurrently managing high-volume purchase ledgers and complex supplier portfolios.
• Strong proficiency in enterprise ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or Sage 200) and advanced Excel skills (including Vlookups and Pivots).
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently build rapport with key suppliers, de-escalate complex billing disputes, and work autonomously.
• An immediate availability to start, or a maximum of a 1-week notice period.
