Credit Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join a busy finance team based in Solihull. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous credit control experience who enjoys building relationships, resolving queries and taking ownership of their workload within a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for managing your own ledger, contacting customers to secure payments, monitoring overdue accounts and resolving outstanding queries to minimise debt. Working closely with internal departments and external customers, you will build strong working relationships, investigate discrepancies and ensure accounts are kept up to date. You will also support accurate cash allocation, account reconciliations and regular reporting, helping to maintain effective credit control processes and improve cash flow.

Skills Required

• Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
• Confident communicating with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and secure payments.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and experience using finance systems.
• Experience managing outstanding debt, prioritising overdue accounts and maintaining accurate records.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
• A proactive and persistent approach to problem-solving, with excellent attention to detail.
