Assistant Accountant

With the business continuing to expand across its different sites, they are investing in their finance function and have created a new Assistant Accountant position. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established team at an exciting time for the business.

The role would suit an experienced Accounts Assistant who is ready to move beyond transactional finance and develop into a more rounded accounting position. You’ll build on your existing experience across purchase ledger, reconciliations and financial processes, while gaining greater involvement in month-end, management reporting and financial analysis. Working alongside an experienced team, you’ll have the opportunity to strengthen your technical skills and take on additional responsibility as you progress.

Skills Needed

• Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant or transactional finance position, with a good understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliations.

• Some exposure to month-end activities, journals or management accounts, with a genuine interest in developing these skills further.

• Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial information, with the ability to analyse data and produce accurate reports.

• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues across the business. Hospitality or multi-site experience would be beneficial.
