Trainee Accountant

An established and growing business is currently searching for a reliable and efficient individual to join them as their new Accounts Payable Assistant. The successful Accounts Payable Assistant will support the end-to-end accounts payable process, working within a small, close-knit AP team surrounded by like-minded and collaborative colleagues. A large part of the role will involve handling queries, requiring regular communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders, so strong communication skills are essential. The succseful candidate will look aftter their own section of the ledger and be responsibilities for processing a high volume of supplier invoices, reconciling supplier statements, completing payment runs, and supporting month-end processes. The ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy is key in this busy environment.

Ideally, you will:

• Have over 3 years’ experience working in an accounts payable role, handling high volumes of invoices.
• Be highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing deadlines within a team environment.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, confident speaking with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries effectively.
• Be proactive, approachable, and able to build positive working relationships within a team of like minded people.
