Systems Finance Business Partner

The Role

As a key member of the finance team, you’ll act as a strategic partner to senior leadership – translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive performance and inform decision-making.

You’ll work across departments to enhance financial visibility and reporting, leveraging tools like SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel to create intelligent, data-led solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with senior stakeholders to drive commercial performance and strategic decision-making

• Developing and maintaining automated dashboards and reports using Power BI and SQL

• Analysing large, complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities

• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes

• Enhancing financial systems and data models to improve accuracy and efficiency

• Providing clear, insightful commentary and recommendations to the business

About You

You’re a technically strong, analytically minded finance professional who enjoys using data to tell a story. You combine a deep understanding of financial principles with hands-on systems expertise and a proactive, business-partnering mindset.

We’re looking for:

• ACA qualified (or equivalent) with a solid grounding in financial analysis and reporting

• Strong experience in SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel (experience with ERP systems highly beneficial)

• Proven track record of driving insight and performance in a corporate or large-scale business

• Excellent communication skills – able to simplify complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders

• Curious, collaborative, and commercially focused
