Overview

Mitchell Adam are currently partnering with an established and forward thinking professional services business, looking for a bespoke pair of hands to cover a twelve month maternity project with the potential to become permanent. As a Risk and Compliance Accountant, you will be reporting into the business Risk Manager, with the ultimate goal of ensuring the business is acting financially compliant to all of its internal and external stakeholders. This is an incredible opportunity for those with a background involved in internal audit to get excellent exposure from a business on the front foot.

Day to day in this role you will be tasked to work outside of standard operations to challenge the integrity of Management Information ensuring accuracy, insightfulness and standards are adhered to. This is especially pertinent as the business launches new projects and mobilises new clients, ensuring historic backlogs are reconciled. This role suits a confident and detail driven accountant, that enjoys liaising with stakeholders externally.

Skills required

  • Ideally, you will be looking for a contract/temporary position that has the possibility to become permanent within the business.
  • Confidence is key in this role, as you will be in a client facing position and often engaging with stakeholders in meetings, prior experience in a client facing position is desirable.
  • This role requires a candidate with a background in audit, forensic accounting or risk accounting, or a reconciliation heavy role.
  • You will have experience in a ‘cash based’ role, and have a great fundamental understanding of cash & risk control, movement and allocation.
