Mitchell Adam are exclusively partnered with a forward-thinking professional services company that values experience and is currently seeking a capable individual to join their team for a twelve-month maternity cover project. This role holds the potential for a permanent position. As a Risk and Audit Accountant, you’ll report to the Business Risk Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring the company’s financial compliance with internal and external stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for those with a background in internal audit to gain valuable exposure with a leading business.

In this role, your day-to-day tasks will involve stepping outside of BAU operations to meticulously assess the accuracy, depth of insight, and adherence to standards of Management Information reporting to clients. This is particularly crucial during the launch of new projects and on boarding of clients, ensuring that historical backlogs are reconciled. This position is perfect for a self-assured, detail-oriented accountant who enjoys interacting with external stakeholders.

Skills required

  • Preferably, you are seeking a contract or temporary role with the potential to transition to a permanent position.
  • Confidence is essential for success here, as this role involves client interaction and engagement in meetings. Previous experience in a client-facing role is advantageous.
  • This position calls for a candidate with a background in audit, forensic accounting, risk accounting, or a role involving intricate reconciliations.
  • You possess experience in a role centred around managing cash and have a solid grasp of cash and risk control, movement, and allocation.
