Reporting Accountant

Overview

My client, a prominent force in the UKs Real Estate Sector is looking for a Reporting Accountant to join one of their Client Finance teams based in the heart of Birmingham. The business has been highly acquisitive when it comes to onboarding new clients, and due to this growth are investing in their part qualified accountants offering. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a developing business that will champion your growth in a client facing setting.

The day to day in this role will be engaging and enabling. You will be hands on working with clients to account for and discuss the financial implications of their property portfolio. Through compiling highly accurate reports, management accounts, budgets and forecasts, you will be creating a commentary and advising on best practice to commercially maximise value. To succeed in this role, you will need a firm understanding of Excel, VAT and double entry bookkeeping. Therefore, the ideal candidate is part qualified ACCA or CIMA.

Skills Needed

• Be part qualified in your ACCA/CIMA qualification with the goal of qualification through the business.
• Ideally, you will have client facing/client reporting exposure and a grasp of the fundamentals of client monies, or a background in the real estate sector.
• Have previously actioned accruals, prepayments and ideally understand P&L Accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Be a technically strong accountant looking to progress in your career.
