Payroll Clerk

As the Payroll Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a range of clients. Your responsibilities will include processing weekly and monthly payrolls, calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions, managing starters and leavers, processing statutory payments, and ensuring compliance with HMRC, pensions, and auto-enrolment requirements. You will handle payroll queries professionally and confidentially, maintain accurate payroll records, prepare payroll reports, reconcile payroll accounts, and support audits where required. You will also work closely with the wider finance team to ensure smooth and efficient payroll operations.

Ideally, you will:

• Have experience within a payroll or finance role, confidently processing payroll and maintaining a high level of accuracy.

• Be a determined, reliable, and efficient worker who takes pride in delivering payroll on time and to a high standard.

• Have a proactive and problem-solving mindset, always looking for ways to improve payroll processes.

• Have excellent communication skills, allowing you to work collaboratively and handle payroll queries professionally and sensitively.
