Overview

Mitchell Adam are excited to be working with an industry-leading property business who are looking to add an Accountant to their established finance team. This is a particularly good opportunity for an accountant with CIS experience who wants to develop their management accounting skills while working with some of the largest and most high-profile construction clients in the market.

You’ll be joining a finance function with genuine scale and variety, supporting the accounting of major property and construction projects and gaining exposure to the financial performance behind large-scale developments. Alongside core management accounting responsibilities, you’ll have involvement with CIS, reconciliations, month-end reporting and financial analysis, giving you the opportunity to build a strong technical foundation while developing your understanding of the property sector.

The role offers a great platform for someone who is ambitious and wants to progress. You’ll work alongside experienced finance professionals, gain exposure to senior stakeholders and develop your ability to understand and communicate financial performance. With the backing of a highly established property business and the scale of clients involved, this is a role where your experience can develop significantly beyond what you would typically see in a standard Assistant Management Accountant position.

Skills Needed

• Previous experience within an accounting role, ideally with exposure to management accounts and month-end processes.
• Practical experience with CIS is essential, with a good understanding of how it applies within the construction environment.
• Strong Excel skills and a good understanding of reconciliations, journals and financial analysis.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when working across multiple entities, projects or clients.
• AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA, with a genuine ambition to progress within management accounting.
