Management Accountant

Overview

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with a well-established automotive dealership based in Leamington Spa, who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their close-knit finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant ready to step into their first autonomous role, or an experienced Management Accountant looking for a position that offers ownership, stability and a better work-life balance without sacrificing progression.

You’ll initially take full responsibility for the month-end reporting of one of the group’s smaller entities, giving you the opportunity to own the management accounts process from start to finish. From producing P&Ls and balance sheets through to journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations, you’ll develop the confidence that comes with being fully accountable for your own reporting, while receiving ongoing support from an experienced Finance Manager.

Once established, your remit will naturally broaden to include supporting the Finance Manager with the month-end reporting of the group’s larger UK entities, exposing you to more complex reporting, performance analysis and process improvement projects. It’s a role that offers a genuine development pathway, allowing you to build your experience at a sensible pace while becoming an integral member of a collaborative finance team.

Skills Needed

• Experience preparing or supporting monthly management accounts with strong month-end exposure.
• Good understanding of journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse financial information accurately.
• ACCA/CIMA part-qualified, qualified by experience, or an experienced Management Accountant seeking a more balanced role.
• A proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership of your own workload.
