Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed manufacturing group who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their expanding finance team. Following a sustained period of investment and acquisition, this is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to step into a highly visible role, combining full management accounts ownership with genuine business partnering across a multi-site operation.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will take responsibility for the financial performance of a portfolio of UK sites, producing monthly management accounts, delivering detailed P&L reporting and providing insightful variance analysis to support operational decision-making. This is a role that goes beyond reporting, offering the opportunity to work closely with Site General Managers, helping them understand financial performance, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve profitability.

As the business continues its ambitious growth journey, you will also play an important part in developing reporting processes, improving financial controls and raising the profile of finance across the wider organisation. With regular exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence decision-making, this role provides an outstanding platform for someone looking to build a long-term career within commercial finance.

Skills Needed

  • Recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with experience within manufacturing, engineering or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong experience producing management accounts, with confident P&L analysis and variance reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and challenge non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel skills and an interest in improving reporting, processes and financial controls.
  • Commercial mindset with the ambition to develop within a fast-growing, multi-site business.
