Management Accountant

Overview

Mitchell Adam are proud to be partnering with a growing SME construction business based near Tamworth, who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant ready to step up into a more involved role. Following a sustained period of growth, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business where finance is evolving, offering increased responsibility and real exposure to core reporting processes.

Working closely with senior finance, you will support the production of monthly management accounts, with increasing ownership of P&L and balance sheet reporting. You will be heavily involved in month-end activities including journals, accruals and reconciliations, while producing analysis and commentary to help explain performance across the business.

As the role develops, you will gain exposure to project-based reporting and work alongside operational teams to ensure financial information reflects activity on site. You will also play a part in improving processes and reporting, with the opportunity to build experience using COINS and develop within a fast-paced construction environment.

Skills Needed

• Experience within a finance role with exposure to month-end or management accounts.
• Confident handling journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
• Experience with COINS or similar construction systems would be advantageous.
