Management Accountant

Mitchell Adam are proud to be partnering with a successful and rapidly expanding multi-site retail group, headquartered in Birmingham city centre, to recruit a driven and commercially minded Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional looking to take ownership of a broad remit within a fast-paced, high-performing environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate and insightful management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations, as well as preparing budgets, forecasts and variance analysis across multiple sites. You will act as a key business partner to operational leaders, providing clear financial insights to guide decision-making and support continued growth. This role offers a balance of technical accounting responsibility and commercial exposure, making it an excellent step for someone looking to progress their career in a dynamic retail environment.

Skills Needed

• Solid experience preparing management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Actively studying (ACCA/CIMA) or newly qualified, with the ambition to progress.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large, multi-site data sets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
