Management Accountant

Overview

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a market-leading manufacturing business growing by acquisition. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a driven accountant with a strong cost accounting background to step into a highly visible position, working closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to influence key business decisions.

As a Management Accountant, you will take ownership of product cost analysis, helping to shape pricing, profitability, and strategic planning. You’ll lead the introduction of standard costing and BOM, analyse fixed and variable costs across raw materials, labour, and overheads, and provide detailed reporting to guide performance. With involvement in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, inventory management, and process improvement, this is a role that offers both breadth and impact in equal measure. This role suits individuals with knowledge of cost and product accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and a proactive approach to systems and process improvement, with the initiative to propose and implement changes.

Skills Needed

• Proficiency with Excel and experience of NetSuite or OneStream is an advantage.
• An analytical mindset with excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to manage stakeholders across non finance teams.
• Experience in a Manufacturing/Cost Accounting position is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
