Management Accountant

Overview

Our well-established client, based in the Black Country is looking for a driven Management Accountant to join their close knit, but expanding retail finance team. This is a standout opportunity for a proactive and ambitious individual ready to bring fresh thinking and deliver accurate, insightful analysis in a fast-paced corporate environment. As part of an evolving organisation, you’ll gain a deep understanding of the wider business while playing a hands-on role in shaping its financial performance. You’ll work closely with operational leadership across several national sites and report directly to the Finance Manager.

Key responsibilities include preparing Management Accounts, performing variance analysis, and supporting performance improvement initiatives. You’ll also gain exposure to cost analysis and partner with non-finance stakeholders to influence business decisions, growth strategy and streamlining initiatives.

Skills Required

• Energetic and results-focused, with a track record of challenging the status quo and driving improvements
• Experience analysing budgets/forecasts and handling accruals and prepayments is highly desirable
• Retail finance experience is a plus, especially with an understanding of stock accounting
• Strong Excel skills (including Pivot Tables); macro creation experience is a bonus
