Mitchell Adam are delighted to announce the continuation of their collaboration with an organisation in the non-for-profit sector. The organisation are located near the Birmingham Airport and are looking to bring on a talented Management Accountant into their cohesive and welcoming team. The organisation has tried to prioritise their fantastic working culture and has created an atmosphere that is brilliant to work in. Their offices are easily accessible via car, bus and rail due to its close proximity to transport links and its free on-site car parking. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for producing the management packs for the organisation alongside being involved with the budgeting and forecasting process within the company. This organisation will be eager to help with your development and will be able to provide you with new responsibilities throughout your time in this position.

The organisation has gone through some fantastic growth in recent years, becoming a staple of their region. They provide a real service for the people in the region and always look to try and have a positive impact. Due to their sustained growth, they have decided to broaden their finance team and to bring on an additional Management Accountant into the department, they are looking for an intelligent individual who is ready to take the step up to gain some senior responsibilities, such as leading in budgeting and forecasting meetings and even having one to one meetings with senior financial stakeholders. The business offers some fantastic benefits including a strong pension contribution and strong study support package. There is also the option to work in a hybrid style.

Skills Required

  • To have experience being involved with the production of management accounting packs, and to have knowledge and experience being involved with the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • To be confident and outgoing, this role includes having one-on-one meetings with senior financial stakeholders. This requires a strong level of self-confidence as it will be important to be able to represent yourself in the best possible manner.
  • To have experience posting journals such as accruals and prepayments, completing reconciliations on both the bank and balance sheet and to have experience working on the P&L.
  • To ideally have experience working in either the public or non-for-profit sector, this is not an essential requirement but often helps your ease of transition.
