Mitchell Adam are excited to announce their continued collaboration with an expansive multinational retail organisation. This organisation has continued to grow tremendously in recent years and have became a significant player in their sector. They are looking to bring on a talented Management Accountant to join their experienced and passionate team in Birmingham City Centre. They are looking for an individual who has started their studies within either ACCA or CIMA and provide a lucrative study support package for the successful candidate.

This organisation understands the importance of their staff, and one of their key principles is rewarding talented employees with opportunities for senior responsibilities and potential promotions. As a retail organisation, one of the responsibilities as a Management Accountant will be interacting with senior stakeholders including non-financial store managers. Being able to communicate with store managers effectively will provide them with the knowledge of the financial health of their store, efficiently enabling them to make sounder financial decisions. Other responsibilities include producing management accounting packs for senior management and being heavily involved with month end tasks such as reconciliations, accruals and prepayments and interacting with the P&L.

Skills Required

  • To have experience working as a Management Accountant, or to have some strong experience producing management account packs for senior management.
  • To currently be studying for your CIMA or ACCA, or to have some strong intentions to start these qualifications.
  • To have the ability to complete month end tasks such as accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • To be confident and charismatic. In this position you will be working alongside senior stakeholders and non financial managers, it will be essential for you to be able to communicate effectively and efficiently.
