Junior Accounts Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Accounts Assistant to join a successful and growing organisation in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career within Finance, with the added benefit of a highly flexible, near-remote working environment.

You’ll join a supportive finance team where you’ll gain hands-on experience across a variety of accounting processes, including purchase and sales ledger, reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments and month-end. As your knowledge develops, you’ll take on greater responsibility and have the opportunity to progress within the wider finance function.

Skills Required

• A genuine interest in building a career within Finance and Accounting.
• Ambitious, proactive and keen to learn, with the drive to develop and take on greater responsibility.
• An interest in pursuing AAT or ACCA would be advantageous.
• Strong numerical skills and good attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
• Confident communication skills and a positive, team-focused approach.
• Good Excel and IT skills, with the ability to learn new finance systems.
