Our client, a giant in the UK legal sector, is looking to fortify their Birmingham-based R&A team by welcoming an interim Financial Reporting Analyst. If you are immediately available, an advanced Excel user (including Macros/VBA) and have experience in a similar position, then this hybrid role may be the perfect next step.


The Financial Reporting Analyst at this Legal 500 firm will be asked to collate, analyse and report upon data in relation to debt, creditors and cash forecasting. The successful candidate will then present findings before the FD/CFO with monthly reports to highlight trends, anomalies and potential improvement areas – as such, ideally you will be comfortable tailoring the report to the end user and interpreting key discoveries.


Whilst providing invaluable insight, you’ll also be involved with system/process review, detecting opportunities for improvement or even automation. This will entail partnering with both the IT and Financial Operations department, giving you fantastic end-to-end exposure.

Skills required

  • Be immediately available, part qualified in ACCA/CIMA (or QBE) and have experience in a similar Financial Reporting Analyst position.
  • Possess stellar data manipulation and analysis skills, being advanced with Excel and having exposure to various reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Cognos etc..).
  • Consider yourself a driven and meticulous individual with fantastic organisation that makes you able to react to ad-hoc demands.
  • Work equally as efficiently in a team as you do independently, and having a keen sense of initiative/proactivity.
