Financial Controller

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join a long-established, reputable automotive dealership group that continues to grow, evolve, and invest in its future.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day finance operations across multiple sites, while also driving performance, efficiency, and commercial insight at every level of the business.

The Role

• Oversee daily finance operations and lead a small, capable team.

• Take ownership of monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.

• Partner closely with Sales, Aftersales, and Workshop teams to ensure accurate financial insight and performance tracking.

• Drive process and system improvements, ensuring efficient reporting and robust financial controls.

• Play a key role in strategic decision-making alongside the senior leadership team.

About You

We’re looking for someone who’s commercially sharp, operationally strong, and ready for the next step. You’ll bring:

• A professional accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).

• Proven experience within a dealership or retail automotive environment.

• Strong working knowledge of Kerridge (or similar dealership ERP systems).

• A hands-on approach, with the ability to roll up your sleeves and get into the detail.

• Confidence to lead, influence, and collaborate with non-finance stakeholders.
