Financial Controller

Our client is seeking an experienced finance leader to drive operational efficiency, lead a high-performing team, and deliver continuous improvements across their finance function.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy, streamlining processes, and supporting the business through a period of growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a finance team of 10, driving performance and development.
• Oversee month-end reporting, ensuring accuracy while reducing close timelines.
• Implement and enhance financial systems to improve efficiency and reporting quality.
• Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance across the organisation.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to support operational excellence.
• Manage audit processes and liaise effectively with external auditors.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

About You

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a fast-paced services environment.
• Strong background in system implementation, controls, and process improvements.
• Demonstrable success in reducing month-end timelines and improving financial reporting.
• Confident leader with experience managing and developing a team of 10 or more.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
