Financial Controller

Overview

We are partnering with an established and forward-thinking manufacturing business in Coventry, seeking an Operationally Focused Finance Controller to take the lead in managing their finance function during an exciting period of growth.

This is a hands-on role, reporting directly to the Managing Director and overseeing a dedicated finance team of four. You will play a crucial role in driving financial efficiency, ensuring compliance, and supporting the business’s strategic goals. A key focus will be leading the implementation of a new ERP system, streamlining processes, and enhancing operational reporting to support future expansion.

As a trusted partner to the leadership team, you will combine operational expertise with financial insight to enable informed decision-making and foster sustainable growth.

What is Required

• Qualifications: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong track record in operational finance roles.
• Experience: 3-5+ years in a senior finance role, ideally within manufacturing or a related sector.
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage and develop a team, driving collaboration and efficiency across the department.
• ERP Expertise: Experience in implementing or optimising ERP systems, with a focus on process improvement and data accuracy.
• Operational Focus: Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Analytical Skills: Sharp analytical mind with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
