Finance Manager

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with a well-established property business located in Birmingham City Centre, who are looking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to oversee their finance function. This is a hands-on position covering the full accounting cycle, including client and business accounting, ledgers, payments, reconciliations, VAT and client money compliance.

Alongside the core finance responsibilities, this role offers excellent exposure across the wider property business. You’ll work closely with property managers and operational teams, providing financial insight and support on property-related decisions. You’ll also be involved in credit control, arrears management, financial reporting and forecasting, with the chance to identify improvements across the finance function.

Skills Needed

• Previous finance experience within a property, real estate or property management environment is essential.
• Experience managing client money accounts, tenant and landlord ledgers and payment cycles.
• Strong experience across bookkeeping, reconciliations, VAT, credit control and general finance processes.
• Confident producing management reports, forecasts and financial analysis, with strong Excel and financial systems skills.
