We are proud to be partnering with a beautifully run children’s home that truly puts young people at the heart of everything it does. This is not just a service – it’s a warm, nurturing environment designed to feel like home, where every child is supported to thrive.

We are now seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to join the leadership team and play a key role in shaping the financial future of the organisation.

The Role

This is a highly visible and impactful position, working closely with the Managing Director to provide clear financial insight and strategic guidance. You will take ownership of financial operations while ensuring robust processes are in place to support the complex funding landscape within children’s residential care.

A key focus of the role will be managing and accurately costing individual EHCP for each child, ensuring transparency and confidence when liaising with local authorities and funding bodies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed cost breakdowns for each child’s EHCP, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Confidently liaise with local authorities, commissioners, and funding bodies
  • Business partner with the Managing Director to deliver clear insights on cashflow, forecasting, and financial performance
  • Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles
  • Provide meaningful analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Ensure strong financial controls and reporting processes are in place
  • Support the growth of the organisation through scalable financial frameworks

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience within children’s residential care, education, healthcare, or a similarly regulated environment is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of EHCP funding and local authority commissioning (or the ability to quickly grasp complex funding models)
  • Confident communicator, able to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Commercially astute with the ability to translate numbers into clear, actionable insights
  • Passionate about working in an organisation that makes a genuine difference

Why Join?

  • Be part of a purpose-driven organisation where your work has real impact
  • Work in a supportive, “family-feel” environment with strong values
  • Partner directly with senior leadership and influence key decisions
  • Opportunity to shape and develop the finance function as the organisation grows

If you’re looking for a role where finance meets purpose, and where you can truly make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
