The Role
This is a hands-on, varied Finance Manager role that would suit a commercially minded individual with strong fundamentals in double-entry, management accounts, audit preparation, and team leadership. You’ll work closely with the Finance Director on key strategic projects, while also ensuring the robustness of day-to-day financial operations of a team of 5.
Key Responsibilities

Compile the monthly management accounts and ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Maintain and improve financial controls and processes, ensuring compliance and best practices.

Support the preparation for audit, liaising with external auditors and ensuring readiness.

Lead and develop a small finance team, providing support and clear direction.

Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journals.

Provide analytical support and insights to the FD and wider business to inform strategic decisions.
About You

A part/fully qualified or QBE accountant with strong double-entry and technical accounting skills.

Demonstrated experience producing full management accounts and supporting external audits.

Proven track record of managing or mentoring finance teams and working with a time and attendance system.

Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
