Finance Manager

We’re a leading name in the logistics sector, known for delivering tailored solutions to some of the UK’s biggest clients. We’re now looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the financial management of a major client contract, providing insight, control, and commercial support to both the client and our operational teams.

This is a high-profile role at the heart of one of our largest contracts. As Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, driving contract performance, and building strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and the client. You’ll provide commercial insight, challenge assumptions, and ensure we’re delivering value on every aspect of the contract.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end financial management of a key client contract.

• Deliver timely and accurate reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.

• Partner with operational teams to drive performance, efficiency, and profitability.

• Act as the main finance point of contact for the client, building strong and trusted relationships.

• Monitor KPIs, cost drivers, and revenue streams to ensure robust contract performance.

• Identify risks and opportunities, recommending actions to maximise outcomes.

• Ensure compliance with contractual and group financial requirements.

About you

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience.

• Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or contract-based environments is highly desirable.

• Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to influence operational and client stakeholders.

• Commercially focused, analytical, and detail-oriented.

• Confident communicator who can balance client relationships with robust financial control.
