Finance Manager

A fantastic opportunity is now available for a dynamic and forward-thinking accountant, who would like to take on the challenge of helping to double a £5million turnover business over the next few years. In this Finance Manager role, you will be the key focal point of Finance, reporting directly into the Managing Director within a vibrant and enthusiastic environment. Your initial duties will include; taking on the day-to-day accounting activities whilst overseeing a small team, before shifting focus to strategically pushing the business forward and implementing new ways of operating.

This Finance Manager position is both a unique and hard to find opportunity on the market, as you will join an SME business with the goal of driving them forward from a financial perspective. Over time, this will include bringing the entirety of the finance function in house as you progress into a Financial Controller position.

With this in mind, it is crucial that you are an individual with a strong knowledge of accounting from the bottom up, ideally fully qualified through ACCA or CIMA (other relevant experience will be taken into account), and have proven experience implementing change as an integral part of an SME.

Skills Needed

• Have previous experience being involved in both finance and operational tasks from the ground up and have a successful track record of process improvement
• Be an outgoing and engaging individual whose strength is strong communication, feeling confident managing up where necessary to help advise and assist with key strategic decisions
• Be a qualified Accountant through ACCA/CIMA, or have relevant transferrable experience across SME’s, ideally within the Service sector
• Be genuinely enthusiastic about the opportunity of joining an up-and-coming business where you will reap what you sow
