Overview

An established organisation in the retail industry is looking to bring on an experienced Finance Manager into their expansive team in Birmingham. The organisation has recently expanded and are hoping to bring on an individual with some strong experience as a Finance Manager or in a role where they have taken on senior accounting responsibilities such as producing the management accounts and assisting junior members of staff. Their offices are based near the Birmingham Airport and are easily accessible via train due to their local station and accessible via car due to their on-site car parking. The role of Finance Manager will see you overseeing a small transactional team of three, you will supervise their development and be able to help out whenever necessary. The role will also see you producing management accounts and working directly with the Finance Director to try and achieve success within the organisation.

Skills Required

  • To have experience supervising staff, assisting them with their duties whilst also producing a high quality of work yourself.
  • To be confident and charismatic, it is critical to be able to communicate to your new colleagues as well as external stakeholders.
  • To have experience producing management accounts and completing other month end responsibilities such as posting journals and completing reconciliations.
  • To be comfortable with being a senior member of the team, making difficult decisions and taking responsibility and looking for ways to continue to improve the organisation.
