Overview

An established organisation in the logistics industry are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to bring into their talented team. Their offices are based down by Birmingham Airport near Solihull and are easily accessible via car due to their free on-site car parking and via train due to their local station being within walking distance. The business is looking for an experienced individual who has covered a range of accounting duties in their career, and someone who is confident being the first point of call for a small team.

As an experienced Finance Manager, the role includes the oversight of a small team of three transactional staff. These staff have a strong level of experience in their positions and will not need consistent assistance, but they will look for your input if they have any queries or concerns. Alongside this supervision, you will be completing month end responsibilities such as posting journals, completing reconciliations on both the bank and balance sheet and producing management packs for the Managing Director. In this position cash flow management experience is essential as it is a key component of the role. The organisation have a very great social culture, the staff are very welcoming and are all hard workers, they always collaborate when needed to ensure their tasks are all completed on time and accruately.

Skills Required

  • To have existing experience in overseeing a small team of staff, or to have a key ambition to take on this responsibility.
  • To have a strong ability in month end duties, including cash flow management, management accounts and producing reports for senior stakeholders.
  • To be self reliant, you will have a wealth of support from your team and senior management, but as this is a senior role it is key to be able to complete duties individually at times.
  • To have a strong work ethic and a passion for accounting. The organisation is growing and there are some potential avenues for progression, it is key to be able to produce a high quality of work in order to achieve these progression opportunities.
