Overview

Mitchell Adam are excited to announce their newly formed collaboration with an established non-for-profit organisation in Birmingham. This organisation are looking to bring on a talented individual to join their team as a Finance Manager, their offices are easily accessible by car and have free on site parking available. They are looking for a candidate who has experience with budgeting and forecasting, but also completing management account packs.

They have expanded in recent years and have became quite prominent in their industry, they accredit their successes to their strong working culture and their fantastic passionate team. In this position, as a Finance Manager, you will be managing the finances of some branches of the organisation, this will include completing the management packs, completing month end duties and journals and completing the budgeting and forecasting. You will have a small team to oversee, who will also be helping with these tasks, one of your responsibilities will be providing feedback on their progress, This organisation are looking for a confident and charismatic individual, who has the ability to help and provide guidance for junior staff, whilst completing more senior duties. You will be liaising with the non-financial managers of each of the branches in your remit, and communicating to them regarding the financial health and situation of their business, prior experience in a task similar to this will be an advantage.

Skills required

  • To have a strong level of experience completing accounting responsibilities, such as budgeting, forecasting and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • To be confident and charismatic, in this role you will be interacting regularly with your staff, but also senior management such as the CFO. It is important to be able to communicate effectively with all levels of colleagues.
  • To have prior experience liaising with non-financial stakeholders and having discussions with them regarding their branch and finances, as this is a management position, a strong level of experience is preferred.
  • To have a key eye for detail and to have a great time management ability. it is essential to be able to efficient and effective in your work, as your reports and findings will be used in regard to creating future budgeting.
