Finance Business Partner

We’re partnering with a growing professional services firm to appoint a technically strong, commercially focused Finance Business Partner. This is a high-impact role working directly with fee earners, where you’ll play a critical part in pricing, tendering, and financial modelling for new business.

This role is particularly well suited to someone making a first or second move from a Big 4 environment, looking to step into a more commercial, forward-looking position with real influence over business decisions.

This is not a traditional finance role. We’re looking for someone who is equally comfortable partnering with stakeholders as they are writing code, building models, and manipulating data to drive better decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build robust financial models to assess profitability, scenario planning, and commercial risk
• Write and utilise SQL (or similar) to extract and manipulate large, complex datasets
• Develop data models and dashboards using tools such as Tableau to deliver actionable insight
• Take a hands-on approach to data manipulation, automation, and model building
• Identify and deliver process improvements, including automation and implementation of new tools
• Act as a translator between data and business strategy, influencing decision-making

What We’re Looking For:

• ACA / CA / equivalent qualified, ideally trained within a Big 4 or leading practice environment
• Strong grounding in financial analysis, modelling, and working with large datasets
• Experience with coding / scripting (e.g. SQL, Python, or similar) and a genuine interest in data
• Advanced data manipulation skills – comfortable working with complex, and sometimes imperfect, datasets
• Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools
• A desire to move beyond reporting into a commercial, business-facing role
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
