Finance Business Partner

Overview

Mitchell Adam are pleased to be working with a forward thinking engineering business who are looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner to support their expanding finance function. This role offers a strong blend of structured reporting and stakeholder interaction, making it well suited to a finalist or newly qualified accountant looking to step into a more commercially focused position.

Working closely with senior finance, you will take responsibility for producing monthly management information, including full P&L reporting, supported by detailed variance analysis and commentary. You will play a key role in the month-end process, ensuring outputs are accurate, well understood, and aligned with business performance.

A key aspect of the role will involve working directly with site teams, leading P&L reviews and walking stakeholders through performance, variances and underlying drivers. You will act as a point of contact for financial queries, helping to translate financial information into clear, practical insight while building strong working relationships across the business.

Skills Needed

• Experience producing or owning management accounts with strong P&L exposure.
• Confident delivering variance analysis and explaining financial performance.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to work with and interpret financial data.
• Part-qualified or newly qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with a clear interest in business partnering.
