Finance Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join a well-established retail company, based in Birmingham City Centre. This Finance Assistant position is ideally suited to someone at the early stages of their finance career who is looking to build their skills within a supportive, professional, and forward-thinking environment.

Working as part of a close-knit finance team, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day accounting function and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained. The role offers great exposure across the finance function. The successful candidate will have prior experience covering both sides of the ledger, as well as being a confident communicator. As the Finance Assistant, you will support transactional processes, assist with reconciliations, and help maintain accurate accounting records within a busy and fast-paced environment.

Skills and experience required

• Prior experience within a Finance, Accounts, or Administrative, including covering invoices processing and reconciliations.
• A keen interest in transactional finance, learning every single aspect there is to learn
• Good communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and external contacts.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills, to work in a fast-paced and sometimes manual environment.
