A fast-growing business is seeking a motivated and organised Bookkeeper to join their finance function in a hands-on, varied role. Working closely with a small Operations team and reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. The role will suit someone who is proactive, methodical, and confident working independently, while also being part of a close-knit team. Your responsibilities will include maintaining bookkeeping records using Xero and Dext, processing and checking employee expenses, and reviewing remittances to ensure accuracy. You will be responsible for responding to finance-related queries from both internal teams and external stakeholders, as well as generating reports to support monthly creditor payment runs. The role will also involve credit control duties, including issuing debtor statements and chasing outstanding debt when required.
Ideally, you will have:
* Proven experience in bookkeeping, ideally within a small business, demonstrating a strong work ethic and capability.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong organisational ability to manage a fast-paced environment.
* A proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to work independently. Someone who is comfortable in a dynamic, growing role and eager to take on multifaceted duties.
* An AAT qualification, or be working towards one, with aspirations to progress within a company.
