Finance Assistant

A growing and forward-thinking technology and communications services company based in Birmingham is looking to welcome a Finance Assistant who is a driven, motivated, and personable individual with a strong foundation in finance. The role will involve managing both purchase ledger and accounts receivable responsibilities, giving you well-rounded exposure across the finance function. Key duties include processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, managing customer accounts, allocating cash, raising sales invoices, supporting credit control activities, and resolving both supplier and customer queries. You will also assist with month-end processes and work closely with the wider finance team, reporting directly to the Management Accountant. This provides an excellent opportunity to gain further exposure to management accounts and develop your technical skills within a collaborative environment.

Ideally, you will:

• Have experience in a Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant role, with hands-on responsibility for both purchase ledger and accounts receivable.
• Be proactive with a problem-solving mindset, identifying and implementing improvements in financial processes where required.
• Demonstrate strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Be a confident and approachable communicator who enjoys working as part of a team and collaborating with different departments.
