Finance Analyst

Overview

Our client, a well-established and friendly private business based in Birmingham City Centre, is looking to welcome an aspiring FP&A Analyst into their growing finance team. This role would suit someone with a good understanding of budgeting who enjoys working with data and is keen to develop their analytical skills in a supportive, well-structured environment.

Working alongside experienced finance colleagues, you’ll help prepare budgets, produce insightful reporting, and explore performance across the business. You’ll have the opportunity to work with large and varied data sets, using Excel to manipulate, analyse, and present information that helps shape day-to-day decision-making. Forecasting exposure will come naturally over time, but it is not essential from day one.

Skills Needed

• Experience supporting budgeting or management reporting within a finance role.

• Strong Excel skills, with confidence using tools such as Pivot Tables, formulas, and ideally Macros to analyse and manipulate data.

• A curious and methodical approach, with an interest in understanding how numbers tell a story.

• Comfortable communicating findings clearly, both within finance and to wider teams.
