An established organisation in the retail industry have recently approached Mitchell Adam for assistance with their search for a talented and analytical Finance Analyst to join their charismatic and intelligent finance department. As a Finance Analyst, you will be an integral component of the finance function of this branch. Your responsibilities will see you producing a variety of detailed comprehensive reports. This includes producing reports on costs and overheads, of various projects and budget v actuals analysis. Your insight will be valued, and in budgeting and forecasting meetings your commentary on the financial health of the organisation will be listened to and considered. As this role is a Finance Analyst position, any prior experience of working in accounting and completing month end responsibilities is essential.
Skills Required
- To be either actively studying an accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA, or to have already completed a decent number of examinations in this field. Alternatively, if you believe yourself to be “Qualified by Experience” please do feel free to apply.
- To be confident and proficient on Microsoft Excel, to be able to utilise the functions of “Pivot Tables” and “Vlookups”. To have exposure and experience with “Macros” would be ideal but not required.
- To be confident in your own abilities. This is an organisation that provide some fantastic opportunities for its staff, but it requires an individual who can produce a high quality of work to achieve these goals.
- To have experience completing month end tasks such as posting journals, completing reconciliations and producing detailed variance analysis. Due to the finance aspect of this position, prior experience in these tasks is a key component of the role.
