Credit Manager

An established, organisation based in Birmingham City Centre is looking to strengthen its Finance function with the appointment of an experienced and proactive Credit Manager. This is a key role within a fast-paced, collaborative business, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the credit function and play a pivotal role in cash flow management.

As Credit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end credit control process, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding balances while maintaining accurate and well-managed customer accounts. You will lead by example in a busy finance environment, managing a high-volume ledger, setting targets/KPIs, and ensuring credit policies and procedures are consistently followed. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external customers to resolve queries efficiently, manage risk, and maintain strong professional relationships.

Skills and experience required

• Proven experience in a Credit Manager, Senior Credit Controller, or Accounts Receivable leadership role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing customer accounts, setting targets, and meeting cash flow targets and KPIs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a professional and solutions-focused approach.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage workload effectively and work to deadlines.
