Credit Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller to join a successful and well-established organisation based in Birmingham City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller, or someone with a strong background in transactional finance, who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and making a real impact on cash flow and business performance.

Joining a friendly and collaborative finance team, you’ll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring outstanding debts are collected efficiently while maintaining excellent working relationships with clients. This is a varied role that will see you working closely with internal departments and external customers, giving you the opportunity to develop your communication, negotiation and analytical skills within a supportive environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience within Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or a similar transactional finance role, where you’ve developed strong knowledge of debt collection and customer account management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to build positive relationships with customers while having sometimes difficult conversations regarding outstanding payments.
• A proactive and resilient approach, with the ability to take ownership of your workload, manage competing priorities and remain motivated within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, meet deadlines and maintain accurate records at all times.
