Credit Controller

An established and growing organisation is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their finance team. As part of the finance team, you will take ownership of the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices and maintaining healthy cash flow. You will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, proactively chasing overdue payments via phone and email, resolving queries efficiently, and reducing aged debt. You will regularly review aged debt reports, allocate incoming payments, reconcile accounts, and escalate issues where necessary. This role will play a key part in improving processes, minimising risk, and supporting the overall financial performance of the business.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience within a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role, with a proven track record of reducing aged debt
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and confidently manage difficult conversations
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a high volume of accounts
• Experience using finance systems and strong Excel skills
