An established, global organisation based in Birmingham City Centre is looking to strengthen its Finance function with the appointment of an experienced and proactive Credit Controller. This is an important role within a fast-paced, collaborative business, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a high-volume ledger and play a key role in supporting cash flow and financial stability.

As Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end credit control process, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding balances while maintaining accurate and well-managed customer accounts. You will work within a busy finance environment, prioritising workload effectively and ensuring credit policies and procedures are consistently followed.

You will liaise closely with internal stakeholders and external customers to resolve queries efficiently, manage risk, and maintain strong professional relationships. Skills and experience required

  • Proven experience in a Credit Controller or Accounts Receivable role, ideally within a high-volume environment.
  • Strong understanding of credit control processes, debt collection, and dispute resolution.
  • Experience managing customer accounts, prioritising collections, and working towards cash flow targets and KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a professional and solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
