An established and growing construction company is currently searching for a reliable and efficient individual to join them as their new Credit Controller. This role has become available due to the retirement of a long-standing team member, highlighting the stability and longevity the business offers. It is an excellent opportunity to join a well-run, fast-paced construction company with a strong reputation and a loyal client base. They are looking for someone confident, dependable, and comfortable working as the sole Credit Controller within the business.
The successful Credit Controller will take full ownership of the credit control function, managing a high volume of accounts while maintaining accurate and up-to-date reporting. Working independently, you will build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring outstanding debt is collected efficiently and queries are resolved promptly. The role involves regular customer contact, allocating payments, monitoring credit limits, producing aged debt and performance reports, and supporting month-end processes. The ability to work at pace while maintaining excellent attention to detail is essential in this fast-moving construction environment.
Ideally, you will:
- Have previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable, ideally within construction or a similar fast-paced environment, managing high volumes of accounts independently.
- Be highly organised, accurate, and efficient, with the confidence to manage the full credit control process autonomously.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, comfortable liaising with clients and internal teams to resolve queries and maintain positive working relationships.
- Have experience with accounting software or ability to learn new systems.
You will receive:
- A competitive salary reflective of experience and responsibility.
- A stable, long-term role replacing a retiring team member, offering security and longevity.
- On-site parking, long service awards, regular social events with work, and a friendly, supportive team culture.
- The opportunity to work for a respected construction company where reliability, accuracy, and commitment are genuinely recognised.
If you carry the skills listed above and are looking for a stable Credit Controller role where your experience will be valued, apply now. This opportunity will not be available for long!
