Credit Control

A long-standing, UK-wide distribution business is looking to strengthen its team by introducing a new Credit Controller. You’ll be working in a fast-paced branch environment, supporting a busy office team and contributing to the smooth running of the operation. You’ll take responsibility for high-value customer accounts, managing payment allocation, reconciling statements, resolving account queries and chasing overdue balances. You will oversee a substantial ledger and manage your workload independently, without micromanagement. The business is seeking a driven, proactive individual who can add value and support the ongoing success of the team.

Skills required

• Ability to build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt.
• Confident communication skills, both over the phone with customers and in person with colleagues.
• At least 2 year’s credit control experience, enabling you to quickly adapt, take ownership and bring fresh ideas.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, allowing you to meet tight deadlines effectively.
