Overview

Due to continued growth and internal promotions, our public sector client is seeking a newly qualified Finance Business Partner to join their established finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to step into a commercially focused role, where you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to influence decision-making and support the effective use of public funds.

Sitting at the heart of the organisation, you’ll partner with budget holders and operational leaders, taking ownership of management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting for your areas. You’ll provide clear, insightful commentary on financial performance, challenge assumptions where appropriate, and help stakeholders understand the commercial impact of their decisions. This role offers genuine responsibility, strong visibility, and the chance to develop into a well-rounded public sector business partner.

Skills Needed

• Newly qualified ACCA/CIMA, ideally with prior public sector exposure. (Finalists are still encouraged to apply).

• Strong management accounting experience, including budgeting and forecasting.

• Confident communicator, comfortable challenging and influencing non-finance stakeholders.

• Commercial mindset, with the ability to turn financial data into practical insight.
