Client Accounting Lead

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded property business, who are looking to appoint an experienced Client Accounting Team Leader to oversee a significant commercial portfolio and play a key role within their wider finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven client accounting professional to step into a senior position offering leadership, visibility and long-term progression within a complex commercial environment.

In this role, you will take ownership of a major client relationship, acting as the senior point of contact across all aspects of financial delivery. You will oversee the production and review of management accounts, service charge reporting, budgets, forecasts and reconciliations, ensuring reporting remains accurate, commercially focused and delivered to a consistently high standard. Alongside this, you will be expected to manage more complex issues, provide strategic oversight, and maintain strong stakeholder confidence.

You will also lead and develop a team, ensuring workloads are effectively managed, technical standards remain high, and individuals are supported in their progression. Working closely with senior leadership, this role offers the opportunity to influence processes, strengthen controls and help shape the wider direction of the client accounting function.

Skills Needed

• Strong background within commercial client or property accounting, with experience overseeing complex portfolios.
• Confident reviewing management accounts, service charge reporting, budgets and reconciliations.
• Proven ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships and operate as a key client contact.
• Previous team leadership or management experience, with the ability to develop and support others.
