Client Accountant

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with an established property business managing a diverse portfolio of over 1,300 properties. This is an exciting opportunity to join a professional and supportive team in a fast-paced environment, working closely with the Portfolio Director and wider portfolio management team.

The Client Accountant will be responsible for managing a broad range of client and business accounting activities, including financial reporting, forecasting, reconciliations, VAT compliance, payment processing, credit control and providing financial support to clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Client Accountant looking to develop their career and progress into a leadership position. Initially, the role will involve working closely with and overseeing the Credit Controller. As the business continues to expand and the finance team grows, there will be an exciting opportunity to develop into a Team Leader, taking on increased responsibility and ultimately overseeing a growing finance team.

Skills needed

• Experience managing day-to-day finance and client accounting activities, with a strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Experience managing client ledgers, allocate and reconcile rents, fees and property-related income and expenditure.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, engaging with landlords, tenants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Good understanding of financial controls and compliance.
