Client Accountant

Overview

Our highly respected Commercial Property client, based in a stunning City Centre office, is currently seeking a Client Accountant to join their boutique team. You’ll be responsible for managing a substantial and diverse client portfolio. The business is experiencing impressive growth, attracting clients across various sectors, and the senior leadership team is deeply committed to investing in your long-term professional development.

As a Client Accountant, your role will be varied and engaging, with each day offering new challenges in managing a broad portfolio of properties. You’ll oversee the full financial cycle, from accruals and prepayments through to budgeting and forecasting for all funds associated with each property, including ground rent, service charges, sinking funds, VAT, and deposits. You’ll also be responsible for preparing detailed client reports and presenting them in person, providing commentary to support strong ongoing relationships.

Skills Required

• Proven experience in Client Accounting and/or Service Charge Accounting is essential.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage directly with clients.

• Ability to compile accurate management reports for senior stakeholders, including revenue and variance analysis.
