Bookkeeper

A well-established and growing organisation is expanding its finance function and is now seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team. This newly created role is ideal for a highly organised, detail-oriented professional who enjoys taking ownership of the day-to-day financial operations and supporting a growing business.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, supportive, and close-knit finance team where you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial processes. The role will be varied and hands-on, covering accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll support, VAT returns, and general bookkeeping duties. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate ledgers and ensuring compliance with financial procedures.

You will work closely with internal teams, external suppliers, and accountants, confidently resolving queries and building strong working relationships. This role offers broad exposure across the finance function within a fast-paced environment, along with the opportunity to develop your skills and progress as the business continues to grow.

Skills Required:

• Previous experience in a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, or similar finance role
• Confident user of Microsoft Excel and Word, with professional experience using Xero highly beneficial
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Confident communication skills when liaising with suppliers, accountants, and internal teams
