Overview

Mitchell Adam currently have the pleasure of recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant, to join our large Wholesale and Distribution client, based near the bustling country town of Warwick. You will be joining a medium sized team of industry professionals in a consciences and sustainable business focussed on putting premium products in their consumer’s hands. In exchange, the successful candidate will get a wide breadth of experience partnering across the internal finance teams, using multiple systems to accurately prepare monthly board packs of management information, from accrued and prepaid income to budget variance.

 

This Assistant Management Accountant will find themselves in an engaging and fulfilling position, influencing the business in operational areas from Finance to sales, distribution and marketing. As you compile the monthly pack, you will be taking ownership of the monthly P&L cost centre reports and bolstering it with budget variance analysis, updating daily cash flow forecasts to show accurate positions and communicating with the wider off-site finance team to inform them of your in depth analysis results.

Skills required

  • Have previous experience in a fast-paced sector such as; retail/wholesale, distribution or FMCG. (Although preferred this is not required).
  • Be able to confidently compile a month end pack for senior leadership & have had previous exposure (or theoretical knowledge) to budgeting and forecasting.
  • Be of a high level of skill in Excel, able to implement pivot tables as a minimum to assist with data analysis in larger data sets.
  • Feel comfortable concisely articulating yourself, as you will be a key pillar for finance, working between multiple teams and relaying information to senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
